How to filter Warmuply emails in Gmail
The Warmuply TeamLast checked: October 2026
Once warmup is running, your inbox receives warmup emails from other inboxes in the Warmuply network. A Gmail filter moves them out of your Inbox and into their own label, so your Inbox stays clear for real email.
Filtering is optional. Warmup works the same whether you filter or not, and Warmuply still finds and handles the emails inside the label.
1. Find your Network Inbox Identifier
Every warmup email carries a unique number: your Network Inbox Identifier (ID). Your filter looks for this number.
The ID belongs to your Warmuply account, not to a single inbox. If you've connected several inboxes, they all share the same ID.
You can find it in two places:
In Warmuply. Go to Inboxes, click any inbox, then Settings → General Settings. Your ID is in the Network Inbox Identifier card.
In Warmuply
In a warmup email. Open any warmup email and scroll to the bottom. Your ID appears as a phone number under the sender's name. Use only the digits after the prefix. The prefix (such as +1 or +44) changes from email to email, so don't include it in your filter.

For example, if the footer shows +44 58203917, your ID is 58203917.
2. Create a label with your ID in its name
Gmail uses labels instead of folders. Create one for your warmup emails, and put your ID in its name.
Avoid generic names like "Warmup". When many inboxes use the same label name, inbox providers can spot the pattern. A name that includes your ID is unique to you, and Warmuply recognises it: when a warmup email lands in Spam, Warmuply moves it into this label.
Any name containing your ID works, for example:
Mail-58203917Inbox-5820391758203917
To create the label:
- In Gmail on a computer, scroll down the left sidebar to Labels and click + (Create new label).
- Type the name, for example
Mail-58203917. - Leave Nest label under unticked, so it's a top-level label.
- Click Create.
3. Create the filter
Gmail filters can only be created on a computer, not in the Gmail mobile app.
Step 1. In Gmail, click the Show search options icon at the right-hand end of the search bar.
In your mail app
Step 2. In the Has the words field, paste your ID (digits only, no prefix, no spaces). Leave every other field empty. Click Create filter.

Step 3. Tick these options:
- Skip the Inbox (Archive it)
- Apply the label → choose the label you created in section 2
- Also apply filter to matching conversations (optional; this tidies up warmup emails you've already received)
Leave everything else unticked. In particular:
- Don't tick "Never send it to Spam." Warmuply needs to see when warmup emails land in Spam so it can rescue them. Forcing them out of Spam hides that and makes warmup results less accurate.
- Don't tick "Mark as read." Warmuply opens and interacts with warmup emails itself. Marking them as read in advance removes that activity.

Step 4. Click Create filter. That's it.
To check it worked, click the Settings gear → See all settings → Filters and Blocked Addresses. You'll see a row like this:

The following filters are applied to all incoming mail:
Using several inboxes
Gmail filters belong to a single inbox. Repeat sections 2 and 3 in each Google Workspace inbox you've connected. Because your ID is shared across your account, you use the same ID every time.
Troubleshooting
Warmup emails are still landing in my Inbox
Check that the Has the words field contains only the digits of your ID, with no prefix, spaces or brackets. Then check the filter is listed under Settings → See all settings → Filters and Blocked Addresses. Filters only act on new emails unless you ticked Also apply filter to matching conversations.
Where can I see filtered warmup emails?
Click your label in the Gmail sidebar. They also appear in All Mail.
Can I rename the label?
Yes, as long as the new name still contains your ID. Gmail updates the filter automatically.
Will the filter catch my real emails?
Only emails that contain your ID number, which is unique to your Warmuply account.
Can I delete warmup emails, mark them as spam or unsubscribe from them?
Please don't. Warmuply interacts with these emails as part of warmup. Deleting them, reporting them as spam or unsubscribing works against your warmup results. Leave them in the label and Warmuply takes care of them.
